Student Clubs

Purpose: To teach students in grades 3-5 American Sign Language.

Purpose:  Fifth grade students are selected to produce and run the daily morning Eagle Show for the school. Five to six students are chosen every nine weeks. Students also assist the media center with daily book pick-ups from classrooms, delivering resources to teachers, and reshelving books. Members must arrive at school by 7:45 am.

Purpose:  Reading quiz bowl style competition for students in grades 4-5. Students read 10 books from the list and answer the questions about the books. The team represents the school at the county Readers Rally Competition.

Purpose:  Do you love acting, singing, dancing, or performing? Students in grades 3-5 can join the Rock Springs Drama Club and experience the excitement of bringing a full musical production to life! Students will build confidence, develop teamwork and leadership skills, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Purpose: To introduce children (grades 4-5) to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through hands-on problem-solving, team building, and friendly competition The team is limited to 10 participants only. (This is a guideline from FIRST Lego League.)

Purpose: To empower 3rd-5th grade girls by building their confidence, teaching critical life skills, and encouraging lifelong health.

Purpose:  Students in grades 3-5 work together to promote our clusterwide PBIS expectations, encourage positive behavior, support school events, and help create a welcoming environment for all students. Through leadership opportunities, service projects, and school spirit initiatives, students develop confidence, responsibility, teamwork, and communication skills.

Purpose:  To meet after school to practice our P.E. Skills and play various sports. At Rock Springs Elementary we love to be physically active!  This club is for students in grades K-5.

Purpose:  5th graders support younger students to improve on their reading, math, and/or social behavior skills and to assist new students and make sure they feel welcomed and connected.

Purpose: Do you love to sing? Students in grades 2-5 can join and become part of a team that performs throughout the school year while developing confidence, musicianship, and lasting friendships. Chorus members represent Rock Springs at concerts, community events, and honor chorus opportunities.

Purpose:  5th graders support in the cafeteria and throughout the school during arrival and dismissal each day by monitoring the school-wide PBIS expectations.

Purpose: A club to honor the service of Veterans and active service members in our community through preparations for a Veterans Day Program in November.  This club is for students in grades 2-5.

Purpose: Student Council is a leadership and service program for students in grades 4-5. Members are selected by peers to represent their class on the council. Student council members support and participate in service projects in and around the school. Our goal is to make the school a better, more welcoming place!
