Ms. Rickett - Kindergarten, First, and Second Grades

Mrs. Rickett has an Education Specialist degree from Argosy University in School Counseling.  This is her sixth year at Rock Springs Elementary School. She enjoys working with and learning from students, helping to create a positive environment for growth and social development. This is reenforced through our comprehensive counseling program which encompasses academic, career, social and personal domains. She believes this is imperative for our students to soar to their highest potential. Mrs. Rickett serves grades K- 2^nd and is always excited to see what new experiences the year has to offer. In her free time, Mrs. Rickett enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family. 

 

Ms. Jasmine Thompson - 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade

Jasmine Thompson graduated from Valdosta State University with a BS in Psychology in 2021 and went on to earn her Masters and Education Specialist degrees from the University of Georgia in 2023. She began her career as a school counselor here at Rock Springs in 2023. Ms. Thompson believes that counselors are for everyone and she is here to support students all life events and challenges. She wants each student to leave Rock Springs with the necessary tools to be successful and strive in their own unique ways.

The Rock Springs Counseling Department supports the development of lifelong learners achieving their personal best. The school counselor will assist with removing barriers to learning so that each student can realize their full potential. Through a comprehensive counseling program and collaboration with all stakeholders, our students will develop skills to become productive citizens in society.
